My wife and I recently purchased a home in South Chatham, Massachusetts through the offices of Kinlin Grover. We had the great fortune to have met and worked with Martha Knapp, a Realtor in their Harwich Port Office. Ours was not an easy purchase as we live out of the country and would be on the Cape for only a couple of weeks.

Our relationship started with an email concerning several properties that I had seen online. Martha returned my email within 24 hours and over the next several months, we developed a wonderful working relationship. Martha had the ability to listen to our needs and sift through the hundreds of listings for the ones that would appeal  to us the most. She tirelessly answered my many emails and as it became clear that we were becoming serious about a purchase, helped us make all the necessary arrangements needed for a quick close. This, before we had even met in person.

When we arrived, Martha devoted the better part of everyday for a week taking us to over 30 homes for our perusal. She was both personal and professional making our whirlwind week productive and very enjoyable. When we finally found the right place, Martha guided the process without flaw. We were able to complete escrow in two weeks.

I have bought and sold many properties over the past 25 years and I doubt very much that this one could have happened with anyone but Martha to guide it through from start to finish. I cannot speak highly enough of her professionalism, knowledge, and hard work.

Martha was fantastic. She took us to any house that we wanted to see. We went form Mashpee to Dennis and back. It was the last house we looked at that we actually bought. (and we looked at a lot!) We couldn't't have asked for a better than Martha.

The first time my fiancé and I started looking at houses the experience wasn’t very good as our deal ended up falling through. With careful consideration, we decided that we needed to save more money to purchase our first home. A year later we discovered a home in our dream neighborhood, which had everything and more on our wish list. I called Martha, because a co-worker had used her to purchase her home. She got back to me immediately and we were able to set up a showing that weekend. 
Luckily, my fiancé’s brother who is a contractor was visiting from New Jersey and was able to tell us everything that was wrong with the home. He told us that it was a “contractor special” and not one that two inexperienced people would be able to fix up. Martha suggested that we look at another home in the neighborhood and was able to get us into the other property minutes after looking at the first one.
We walked in the house and saw the potential underneath all the cob webs and green carpet. It felt like it could be our home and we excitedly put in an offer. The property was in short-sale and Martha prepared us for what could be a long journey working with the bank, but if we were willing to put in the effort, it would be possible. Our offer was accepted by the sellers and we waited for approval from the bank. Thankfully everything worked out.
From day one, Martha was amazing! She was organized, knowledgeable, friendly and up front. She helped us find a lawyer and a loan officer; both who were just as amazing. Martha was there for me through every step of the buying process. When we hit obstacles, she found a solution. She made us feel like we were the only clients she had. Our first home would not have been possible if it weren’t for her. My fiancé and I will not use anyone else as a realtor and if we ever sell or buy again, she is the one we will use.
